IBCollector can be scheduled to run auto-updates during the day to keep data series which are marked for auto-update up to date.  You can set up a "standard" schedule in IBCollector, with a single start/end time updating every N minutes.  To set a more advanced schedule, use the "Create/Edit Advanced Schedule" button which will launch the Windows Task Scheduler advanced schedule window seen below, and allows any number of schedules to be set up. 

Upon saving, be sure to specify the password for the update task to run with (this is the windows password associated with the currently logged on user).

To set up an advanced schedule, use the Windows Task Scheduler directly (available in the Windows Control Panel):
