
The IBCollector Queue Engine is the backbone of the download process. The IBCollector Queue Engine runs in the background waiting for download requests to post to the download queue. As the requests post, the Queue Engine connects to TWS and downloads the requested data. The IBCollector Queue Engine uses the TWS Connection Settings to connect to TWS, and will connect to as many instances as it can find (which are properly configured). The IBCollector Queue Engine is linked to the Queue Monitor window (shown above) which allows you to view progress of the download queue, and estimates the time to completion based on the wait time between requests and the number of instances of TWS the IBCollector Queue Engine is connected to.
The IBCollector Queue Engine appears as an icon on the System Tray:
